Special Edition: Ranking the Final Runway Preview Looks

This past week was the Final Runway Preview where each of the final four designers showed three looks from their 10-piece runway collections.  Below is the ranking of the twelve looks based on fan votes.

#12: Char recieved a fan vote of 2.08 for this look.  I am not a fan of Char and her collection is anything but cohesive.  This design is not well sewn nor is it creative.

#11: Char had a fan vote of 2.53 for this look.  I loved this fabric when she chose it in Italy and she could have done something far more innovative and flattering than a freaking romper.  Do these people realize that rompers are out??  Plus, the shorts are too short making the whole look a bit hoochie.

#10: Kini received a fan vote of 2.60 for this look. This coat is just too much.  Too much volume, too many details.  She looks like a futuristic military commander or something.

#9: Kini has a fan vote of 2.82 for this look. Again, there is just too much going on in this look.  The top has too much volume to work with the bottom.  I agree with the judges, the top would look amazing with leather leggings. I’m not sure the skirt would work at all given its unfortunate proportions.

#8: Kini has a fan vote of 2.94 for this look.  This look is very “Park Ave mom going to the office”.  Not fashion forward, sorry.  Pair that top with a fresh bottom piece and it may work.

#7: Amanda has a fan score of 3.15, rounding out the bottom six looks.  So maybe this isn’t exciting enough for Fashion Week, but I really like this dress.  The deep V-neck and the pattern are really cool.  I’d wear this on vacation any day.

#6: Char breaks into the top six looks with a fan vote of 3.20.  I have to give it to Char, this piece is innovative and cool.  If only she could put together an entire collection like this.

#5: Amanda has a fan score of 3.26.  I do not like this look.  The top is ill-fitting and the skirt looks like something my mom wore in the 70’s or that I wore in the early 2000’s and that is not a compliment.  What makes it worse is that these pieces don’t even go together.

#4: Sean’s lowest fan vote is 3.70.  Finally, a breath of fresh air on this drab and depressing runway! This look doesn’t photograph nearly as well as it moved on the runway.  It was draped nicely and fitted to the model’s body.  I’d say he should make Nina happy and remove the fringe from the back, it looks out of place anyhow.

#3: Sean with a fan vote of 3.74 for the Bronze medal.  This was my favorite look from the entire show.  The crisp white shirt pops against the orange skirt and looks so fresh.  Also that color is AMAZING with the model’s skin tone.

#2: Amanda has a fan vote of 3.81 for the Silver medal.  This is another look I’d happily wear on an island somewhere.  I love the colors and the necklace really pulls the whole look together.

#1: Sean is the winner with a fan vote of 3.83.  This look is stunning and so elegant.  Nicely done, Sean.  If this were the final, Sean is the clear winner with all three of his looks in the top 4.  I can’t wait to see his entire collection next week.
